Here's what our clients have to say about our work:
My experience with Dr Dan was different to other chiropractors I have been to previously. His focus is on making permanent improvements rather than simply providing short term pain relief. After an initial assessment from Dr Dan I signed up to an 18 session package. The initial sessions were focussed on pain relief and this then transitioned to a series of regular (twice per week) short (10-15 minute) appointments providing corrective adjustments to provide long term improvement.
The outcome is that I'm pain free and, as a result of a markedly improved posture, hope to stay that way for a long time!
My entire experience was amazing, Dan was awesome and Suzie, his receptionist, is even better! If you want long term improvement, go to Dr Dan!
I've been going to Dr Dan for about two months. Already, I can see a big improvement in my posture.
Being a marathon runner, Dr Dan's adjustments have really helped my running stance, and have worked to keep my back/spine in alignment (as much as possible while I pound away on that pavement!).
I am moving parts of my back and neck that have not moved for years. I sleep better, and I feel better, which ultimately results in better performance while running marathons.
I would Highly Recommend the services of Shapero Chiropractic. Definitely.
I'll make it simple, go to Dr. Dan if you're even thinking you may want to see a chiropractor. His skills and down to earth personality make this the best medical experience I've had in San Francisco.
I'm 22, so when I went to Dan I figured it'd be to crack my back and I'd be out of there. He takes his time to evaluate his patients, and, turns out I had scoliosis in a bad way.
He provided a treatment plan and after completing it I can say I went from feeling like something was always wrong to feeling much stronger. Dan is awesome, please let him help you also.
When I called upon Dan I was miserable with low back pain that was very limiting. I had tried many other treatments and PT, but was not getting better and at the end o my rope. Thanks to Dan's treatment plan and good counsel, I am not only fully recovered, but feeling better than I have in years with just a few weeks of treatment,
I have been a regular patient of Dr. Shapero since January 2016! Before then, I had never been to a chiropractor. However, the severe neck pain that developed after my car crash encouraged me to pay Dr. Shapero a visit.
During my first visit to his office, he explained to me what he was going to do and gave me a detailed diagnosis based on my symptoms. I remember my first adjustment clear as a bell. The pain disappeared within seconds! It was an experience I had never had before.
Of course, the pain came back as one adjustment would not solve the whole problem. But my weekly visit to his office since January has had a miraculous effect on my neck. Now, I can exercise and work on my desk for a long period of time without much pain. I plan to be Dr. Shapero's patient as long as I am in the Bay Area!

This man is talented. Some chiropractors don't really adjust you. I love popping - feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Felt much better walking out than walking in. He is also a really good communicator!
Have to thank Dr Dan Shapero! I've had problems with my back and had a hunchback (or as Mr Shapero official term Kyphosis) since my early teen years. I started working with Dr Shapero on adjusting my back along with improving my posture. Overall I've seen change since starting my treatment with Dr Shapero. My back is alining and I have more energy! Thanks Dr Shapero!
Dr. Dan is the Man. I discovered him because many of my co-workers go to him and he has done health talks for my office. I didn't have any debilitating pain when I went to him, but I sit for an ungodly amount of hours per day for my commute and job, so just wanted to get everything checked out and back in alignment.
After an initial x-ray, I've been getting adjusted a couple times a week for about 2 months now. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shapero. He has a great bed-side manner and is great at what he does. I always feel a sense of calm and well-being after an adjustment. I know some people may be nervous to see a chiropractor what with all the neck/back cracking going on, but I have always trusted Dr. Shapero and have never left his office in pain. The trick to a good adjustment is being relaxed and trusting your chiropractor and he always puts me at ease.
Dr. Shapero's receptionist, Fabi, always has a smile for you and is very accommodating in scheduling appointments, even via email. I do wish they were open 5 days a week, but the doc sees other patients in another location, so I understand he can't be two places at once. Another awesome thing is that, shockingly (for a doctor), my appointments always seem to happen on time, if not early sometimes. I really appreciate this as sometimes I'm running over on my 30 minute lunch break and I always make it back with plenty of time.
I have been dealing with some pretty severe sciatic nerve issues. After my regular chiropractor and some physio therapy didn't help at all, I was referred to Dr. Dan by a friend of mine. Dr. Dan immediately ordered an x-ray and it was pretty clear that I had a compressed disk in my lumbar region. I started seeing Dr. Dan three times a week for adjustments and time on the traction table. A month after starting the treatment I decided to get an MRI to see what is really going on. At that point my sciatic nerve was still hurting, but things started slowly feeling better. The MRI confirmed a 15 millimeter bulge that was pressing on the spinal cord. My doctor recommended surgery, but after in-depth discussions with Dr. Dan, I decided not to go for surgery, but continue our program. Things got better and better and two months after the first MRI, I got another one done. Coming out of the tube, the technician was already standing there, eagerly asking me: "What did you do?", "What do you mean? Is it gone?" I answered. He proceeded to show me the new images on the computer. The bulge was completely gone. The combination of adjustments, traction table, exercises, and meditation have helped me getting rid of the bulge without surgery. Dr. Dan has been fantastic at guiding me through this process by slowly introducing exercises and helping me getting the adjustments that I needed to remove pressure from my lower spine. I am back to working out, no running yet, but we'll get there.
I have had a bad back for years. I first came to see Dr. Dan curious to learn more about chiropractic adjustments. He did a thorough evaluation and explained how adjustments work. I started on a program to realign my cervical spine. I was suffering from dizziness at the time and was hoping this may help. Unfortunately, the dizziness stayed with me and got worse. At one of our sessions, Dr. Dani said: “I think it’s time for you to see a neurologist.” I followed his recommendation and a few months later I was diagnosed with MS. I am very thankful that Dr. Dan never lost sight of the big picture and truly wants the best for his patients. That was one year ago. I continue to see Dr. Dan on a weekly basis and he adjusts my back, shows me strength exercises, and helps me stretch other muscles and ligaments. I am thankful that I found Dr. Dan and highly recommend his services.
My experience with Dr. Dan has been nothing short of professional. I am a former ballet dancer and presently, a yoga instructor. Mr. Dan's adjustments are skilled, sensitively nuanced and educated. I see him weekly now for maintenance. That is pivotal to my performance and livelihood. In my opinion, Dr. Dan is one of the finest in the industry. He has on occasion gone above and beyond, seeing me on short notice. He is warm and kind and I highly, highly recommend his services. Many thanks, Dr. Dan!!!!!
